Ailsa Ilott Counselling
"Within the vulnerable vessel of myself, I hold all I need, have all I know - Even when it's hidden in the clouded shrouds, of youth, and fear, and time." - Whole by Fleur Shepherd
Sometimes life can hit us hard; redundancy, divorce, illness, the passing of a loved one. Other times we start to feel like we can no longer cope and yet cannot understand why, and are unable to easily explain what has changed.
I imagine you are here because you need help to understand or cope with something that is going on in your life right now, either personally or in the world around you. I offer a non-judgemental space for you to discover and explore what is going on, to find a better understanding of why you may feel the way you do.
I offer private and confidential counselling either face to face at London Bridge, Islington or Online via Zoom.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow the BACP's ethical framework (which can be found here)
I have over 20 years experience working in and around the creative arts; not only as a performer and theatre maker but also in corporate training, Higher Education and as an Access Support Worker for D/deaf and disabled artists.
I'm an avid reader and love stories; reading, listening, creating them, and believe they have the power to connect and unite.
I trained in a transpersonal and integrative model of therapy and support people with a wide range of issues.
I have lived experience of OCD.
Whilst we will be mainly talking, I sometimes offer the use of other creative techniques like guided meditation or drawing, if it feels right in the moment.
Finding the right support can feel daunting, I offer a 15 minute chat online free of charge, as an opportunity for you speak about what brings you to counselling, ask any questions you may have, and explore whether working together is right for you.
I charge £70 per 50 minute session.
